Wireless network - without changing DNS on devices

Hi all,

I'm a newbie, and have installed Pi Hole on my Pi Zero.

I'm attempting to use wireless (for now), just so that I can get it working and test it before buying an ethernet module.

Currently my router is using 192.168.1.255 as the DNS. I want to change my Pi Hole static IP address to this.

However, can I just do this, and have the devices connect to the same SSID, or do I have to change the DNS settings on each device (!!!!!).

Thanks.

It depends on how you want to set it up.

Thanks Jacob!!!!

So that answers my question (and more!!!).

Would you recommend using a hard wired ethernet connection rather than wireless?

Thanks. Leigh.

Yes, because of less latency and more stability.

Yeah, wired is better if you can, but I know plenty of people who do it over wireless without issue.
