Something to note that I discovered yesterday about Raspberry Pi OS ‘trixie’, which made some debugging a challenge. The default for the journal is now volatile. The journal is only keep in RAM and lost between boots (Trixie: Storage in journal is now "volatile"). Using raspi-configcan restore the persistent configuration.
