I have tried re-installing OS and using the install cmd again and waited a few mins and I think it's just stuck for some reason.

Do you see the same issue with the command:

curl -sSL https://install.pi-hole.net | sudo bash?

This is what I got back

This output looks the same as the one described in another issue.

Can you please try the same, but using 2 separate steps?

curl -o basic-install.sh https://install.pi-hole.net
sudo bash basic-install.sh

Does it work?

Oh looks like that worked! Thanks a lot btw out of curiosity any reason why the Auto install got stuck?

I don't know, but I saw this happening before only on Ubuntu 26.

When I ran some tests, for some reason, when piping curl to bash the first installation dialog is never shown, causing the process to hang, but I never discovered the cause. As far as I know, this issue doesn't happen on other Ubuntu versions or other distributions.

For future reference, the 2 steps solution from my answer above can also be executed like this:

# Download and save the script Execute it then delete the file
curl -o install.sh https://install.pi-hole.net && sudo bash install.sh; rm install.sh
