Got up and tried to install the app on the tablet. (This is just not fun) The google.play keeps crashing and I can't install it.
Finally got it working on the phone. Alas the DNS is 192.168.0.254 and I am not sure why.
I messed around in the settings of the router and it rebooted/reset itself.
Alas even after the router's reboot, the DNS is the same.
Not the end of the world. It just means finding the stuff I wanted to find out is going to be that much harder now.
I'm trying to find out why the RasPi which is connected via WiFi uses PiHole . . . . . Ah, yeah. It has a place I can enter it.
Maybe I should try a RasPi via WiFi using DHCP. Though the other RasPi isn't. It is fixed.
The story as known so far:
I have a Linksys WRT1900 ACS as my WAP and router.
I have a DHCP pool of about 20 addresses for use as needed.
The router was set as the DHCP controller. But PiHole is the DNS.
A RasPi which connects to it via WAP it seens PiHole as the DNS.
If - however - I connect my phone using DHCP, it gets the router's address. Not sure why as the router's DNS is set to PiHole's IP.
After a lot of messing around this morning I reluctantly disabled DHCP on the router and made PiHole the DHCP server.
Now when I connect my Mobile phone, it gets PiHole as the DNS.
Yes, stupid me. Sorry I was't quicker to pick up on the idea.
