Hi all, i've just updated PiHole to Version 6 on my Raspberry Pi. On all earlier versions i could see the temperature of my Pi in the Web-Interface's Header - where it now shows queries/min. Is there any chance to get that info back?
I know it's a minor thing...
Thanks for a hint and the great PiHole software.
I want it, too
See V6 - Post release fixes and findings for a detailed explaination as to why it was removed.
Thanks for the hint. Well, i've been using the Pi4 (3+ years) and migrated with PiHole to Pi5 for 1,5 years now - and never had a problem with the values. Also to me that was a very useful information, yes maybe beyond the context of a DNS blocker, but as Pi user useful. So i don't really get along with that arguments mentioned.
Therefor, can't you just make a setting "Show Device Temperature in Interface's Header" with a tooltip saying that this might be inconsistent or even wrong values and that you won't use excessive time to get/debug the value and even disable it by default but let users (with a Pi) have it enabled again? I think this would be the far better solution than just dropping it....
I agree.
Just saw a temperature warning in the web if settings. So I assume there's a temperature monitoring.
Why not showing this in the web If?
Did you ever consider a functionality of customized widgets? This could be an option for this and for instance a reboot button.
Have a look on Reddit. There's a "hack" for it but unfortunately it's most likely gone after an update.
Thanks wd9895! That did the trick, got the info back. This really should be a setting if you ask me and would not cause too much effort to implement, just disabled by default.
For now i'll just add the line after an update...
