Background:
- I'm running Pi-hole off a Raspberry 4 that uses the approved/official power cord and is hardwired into the router.
- I'm having to run DHCP through Pi-hole as my ISP won't let me assign a static DNS.
- I have unbound installed and a cron job to reboot the pihole every Saturday morning at 4am. (After I initially set up the cron job in the hopes that it would fix things, I didn't need to reboot for about a week and a half. Until the problem started again.)
- I updated to the latest version of Pi-hole (v 6.7) last week and there were no issues with the update.
- I have IPv6 disabled.
Expected Behaviour:
My expectation is that the internet should work regularly and not randomly disconnect.
Actual Behaviour:
Previously, the internet would disconnect on a weekly basis. I have solved and continue to solve this by unplugging the router and the power cord of the Pi, waiting a bit, then plugging the router and Pi power cord back in. This has fixed it.
However, this week, it feels like every couple days (instead of once a week) I'm randomly disconnected. I've tried to ping the router address as well as 8.8.8.8 when the issue is happening: 100% packet loss (not surprising considering the internet is effectively disconnected) and I'm unable to access the Pi-hole admin page as well.
I've also searched this topic and I'm unable to find a fix that can solve what is going on.
