Pi-Hole plus PiVPN

Folks,

Thought I posted this two days back but search shows no trace - hope it is not duplicated.

I have Pi-Hole and PiVPN running on separate devices, did this to get used to both software setups and to save possible confusion.

I would like to consolidate both systems now so, should I add PiVPN to my Pi-Hole setup or vica versa or should it not matter.

Obviously my PiVPN is set up with additional IPTABLE rules whereas the Pi-Hole doesn't require any alteration.
