Pi-hole not updating

Expected Behaviour:

Pi-hole updates successfully

Actual Behaviour:

It says could not update local repository

Debug Token:

A few problems noted in your debug log:

*** [ DIAGNOSING ]: Networking
[✗] No IPv4 address(es) found on the eth0 interface.

[✗] No IPv6 address(es) found on the eth0 interface

[i] Default IPv4 gateway: 192.168.0.1
   * Pinging 192.168.0.1...
[✗] Gateway did not respond. (https://discourse.pi-hole.net/t/why-is-a-default-gateway-important-for-pi-hole/3546)

Why do you have the router listed as one of the five upstream DNS servers?

PIHOLE_DNS_5=192.168.0.1#53

I don’t know what you mean

Your debug log is showing the Pi is not on your network. No IP addresses assigned and it can't communicate with the router.

You are using 4 external DNS servers and the fifth is pointing to your router. What is the router using for DNS resolution?

192.168.0.1

The router is at IP 192.168.0.1. If the router is using itself for DNS resolution, it is not using Pi-Hole. In the DNS section of the DHCP settings on the router, you shoiuld assign DNS of 192.168.0.32.

You should also check that the Pi is connected to your router and has an IP address listed in the router.

I assigned my pi to dns 1 on my router and it still does not work
