Pi-hole displays Active Clients, but does not receive large numbers of queries or block content

Expected Behaviour:

Pi-hole should receive large numbers of queries and sort them into blocked or allowed content. Both the number of quereies and the amount of blocked content should be relatively high. Running on Raspberry Pi5 64bitLite with 32GB microSD.

Actual Behaviour:

Pi-hole shows active clients and a small handful of queries, but hasn't blocked anything. It shows 0% blocked and 0 blocks total. After running on test sites it doesn't appear to be blocking anything at all.

Are you sure your devices are configured to use Pi-hole?

Your router is advertising external DNS server to your devices:

dns-server: 75.75.75.75
dns-server: 75.75.76.76

You need to configure each individual device to use Pi-hole as DNS server, or change the DNS servers in your router DHCP/LAN settings.

Try this:

Thank you for the reply! I've definitely switched the DNS addresses on my devices, but I'm starting to think my XFinity Gateway that I use as a router / modem is enforcing an external DNS. I wasn't able to switch the DNS server on my Gateway at all, so I did so manually on both devices. I'm guessing this is my problem, but I could be wrong.
