My pihole isnt working on my PC but it works on my apple mobile devices

Expected Behaviour:

I want the pihole to block ads on the sites I go to such as investing.com. I've noticed when I disable my internet, its the same for both wifi and ethernet on my pc, using the website Test Ad Block - Toolz i can see that the pihole works for about 30 seconds once I enable the internet. It will show 97% of ads blocked.
But after 30 seconds or so pihole stops being used and it shows only 4% of ads being blocked on that site. I also notice when i use investing.com to check the ads are blocked for about 30 seconds doing this same thing, enabling and disabling my internet connection, but then the ads show up after about 30 seconds.
I am trying to get it to work consistently so the ads are blocked and works correctly.

I use a PC with windows 11 home Version 23H2 OS build 22631.3880.
|Processor|AMD Ryzen 7 5700G with Radeon Graphics 3.80 GHz|
|Installed RAM|24.0 GB (23.8 GB usable)|
|System type|64-bit operating system, x64-based processor|

I should add that to use pi hole i manually configure each device that I use because I only want certain devices on my network to use the Pi-hole. I followed the instructions on here. How do I configure my devices to use Pi-hole as their DNS server? # 3. Manually configure each device
Just clarifying that.

Actual Behaviour:

It does show the pihole is working correctly for my iphone and ipad devices. I see tons of queries being blocked and check for those devices and I can tell it works when using them. I can see my computer in the query log but it has about 1/10 the amount of queries as my apple devices.

thank you in advance,

Your router could be announcing a route and DNS server for IPv6.

On my PC if I hit [start]-[run] and type cmd /k ipconfig /all I can see my IP configuration.
I see my IPv6 address, my link-local IPv6 address and my IPv4 address.
I can see a default gateway which is the IPv4 address of my router and its link-local IPv6 address (begins fe80.....)
The DNS servers listed are my pihole's IPv4 address and IPv6 link-local address.
If I saw my default gateway's link local IPV6 address in that list, this would indicate that my browsers could be using my router for DNS and not my pihole.

The DNS servers listed show the IP addresses of the Pi-hole when i check that command.

I do have a default gateway IPv4 and IPv6 address listed as well, and the IPv4 address is that of my router. the IPv6 address also begins with fe80

I have the same exactly issue. On all my Apple devices working fine but on Windows PC the number of querries is lke 1% of th total... but in the Dashboard the PC is green. I did run the ipconfig /all here is my response.. what exactly do you need ?
By the way it work perfectly before the reinstall of Pi Hole software.

I notice you didn't mention what browser you are using.
I found that (on my Linux desktop) while using the Chromium browser ads would not be blocked, but while using Firefox they would. And I found a solution such that PiHole would would be allowed to block on Chromium as well - Chromium bypasses Pi-Hole by tunneling via DoH - solution is to block google.dnsChromium bypasses Pi-Hole by tunneling via DoH - solution is to block google.dns.

That may not be a solution to your problem, but even then it wouldn't be surprising if D0H was how your system was avoiding PiHole, and there might be a similar solution.

I use brave and Microsoft edge on my pc. Pihole isn’t working on either.
