Exclude a host entirely from stats

#1

I want to completely exclude a host in my network from appearing in the stats of my pihole. I already added that host to Settings -> API/Web-Interface -> Top Clients but that does not do the trick. The queries of that host are still included in the total amount of queries processed, etc. Does someone know how that can be done?

To the best of my knowledge, this cannot be done. Other than the exclusion from the top lists, all queries are received, logged and included in the 24 hour and long term stats.

There are a few options available, but may not meet your needs:

  1. Exclude that client from Pi-Hole and have it use a different DNS.

  2. Set up a separate instance of Pi-Hole to serve that client, and enable one of the privacy options on that Pi-Hole that stops logging.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe I file a feature request as I think this could be helpful for others.
