Cannot get Pi-hole to work on Raspberry Pi 3 B+

Expected Behaviour:

Pi-hole IP entered in router DNS does not break internet connection; Pi-hole IP entered in computer DNS blocks ads.

Actual Behaviour:

Pi-hole IP, entered in router’s DNS breaks internet connection. Pi-hole IP entered in computer DNS does not break internet connection but allows ads.

Your debug log shows that Pi-Hole is working properly and listening for DNS queries on its ethernet connection at IP 10.0.1.7. Is this the IP you have entered in the router and client?

jfb, that is the correct IP. Strangely, I shut down and moved the Pi to another location in my home where I intend headless use — and when powered up entered its IP in my router again as a test, and, for whatever reason, it worked.

No idea why, but it’s working now.
