Wireguard over pihole

I have pihole running on this machine in my network for several months.

Recently I installed wireguard on the same machine using the guide from pihole's site.

Then I configured another machine as client for wireguard's VPN running on the pihole+wg server.

However I cannot access piratebay which is blocked by my ISP. Should't wg be able to overcome that restriction?

WG encrypts the traffic between the peer and your server. If your WG server is accessing the internet via your ISP then, no.
