Will RPi 3B+ work okay for Pihole today?

My RPi 3B+ ran Pihole fine two years ago, but basic Raspberry Pi was really laggy today - six or seven seconds between command and response. Can I get by with the current RPi of do I need a newer one?

If your running just a headless server with pihole there should be no lag at all. I'm running it on a 3A+ with no issues.

Thanks. I just left it on for a short time and both ethernet and wifi were engaged (legacy of a previous setup) and that might have been causing delays. I'll just use one or the other next time.

I'm running my main Pi-hole on a 3B+, as well as the full Pi OS Desktop, RealVNC, SSH, performance monitoring, Git, some Meshtastic stuff, and a few other applications, and it handles the lot no problem. It's headless and connected via ethernet, and I VNC in if I need a desktop, otherwise SSH in. Pi-hole is very resource light overall.
