Expected Behaviour:
Whitelist shouldn’t act as a blacklist. URL added previously for site in blocking was probably removed during an update.
Actual Behaviour:
If something is on whitelist without a blacklist entry somewhere that entry now acts as a blacklist. Please see attached screenshot.
Btw, thank you guys (and gals) for this cool tool!!!!!
Keep up the great work.

Maybe, I didn’t RTFM.... I had it happen with another site...
;-(
Exiting and restarting webbrowser per the warning page fixed it the second time...
Doh...
I think that might have been my problem.
Maybe a pop-up “Did you try exiting THIS browser if this is a recently changed black/whitelist site?”
[Yes] [No]
Hmmm,
Thanks
Frank
Can you flush your browser cache? This was a an issue in 3.3 but should be rectified in v3.3.1.
I didn’t try that, but restarting my browser (iOS safari) fixed it.
I didn’t know going into “Airplane Mode” is the official way to do it...
So, I think everything is working.
2 minor enhancements would:
-
A text message when pihole -w/b finishes to also say restart browsers and/or flush or dns caches on your devices.
-
The pop up mentioned previously in this post, also when using the web to black/whitelist to remind people
I can submit these if you think they are worth the effort.
Thanks
Frank

You can make feature requests here. We try to build the features people want, and sometimes we've been surprised, so go ahead and make one.
