You used to be able to assign a certain mac a name so that tracking/analysis was easier in the web gui. You now cannot seem to do this, as the clients function does not work.
Yes, I can use the pihole as a DHCP server, but this doesn’t allow charachters like spaces, is more faff, and still appends .lan to some names in the query log. I just want the gui to replace a mac adress with a name, I don’t care about the devices actual host name. This system used to work perfectly but no longer does, is there a workaround?
