Hi,
There's this website 9to5mac.com that redirects to ww.9to5mac.com when it detects adblockers, where adblockers seem to be ineffective. Any way out?

If you have an adblocker, it’ll redirect you to ww.9to5mac.com.
Pi-hole v5.0 will do deep CNAME inspection. This technique will reveal this forwarding trick and will block the entire query.
I’m surprised as to how the ads aren’t blocked in the forwarded domain.
It all depends on your blocking list content. If the domain originally requested isn't contained, it cannot be blocked by Pi-hole v4.x. As said, v5.0 implements a much deeper inspection and would have blocked it.
Check
pihole -q 9to5mac.com
whether both www.9to5mac.com
and 9to5mac.com
are contained. I do not have any of the two on my lists.
