Use Pi-hole as 'local DHCP-server'?

Could someone please point out where I can find a step-by-step guide (for dummies!) how to configure both the router and Pi-hole.
Netgear routers dont have any options for "internal DNS" like TP-Link had/has. :frowning:
I just can't get it working wit my Getgear (R7000) router.

Any help appreciated!!!

I tried many different 'suggestions' found in forum but as I'm no superuser I have no clue where to start the troubleshooting...

I have this router! It should have those settings.. but I am not on the stock firmware for it, so I might not be able to help much here. In any case, you should also be able to disable the DHCP server on the router, and then enable it on the pi-hole (via the settings page), and then the pi itself will be in charge of dishing out IP addresses etc

Damn, I really ment DHCP-server!!!

Well, I tried disabling on router and enabling on PI but "ipconfig /renew" just fails (time out I assume).

BTW, stock FW don't have that option, only Open/DD WRT.

Edit/off-topic: I found DD-WRT for R7000, Is it 'easy' configure to use with Pi-hole?

I have the same router with dd-wrt. Very easy!

I just can't get it working... :frowning:

Here are my settings, all help appreciated!
