Couple of weeks ago, Mod posted what seems like V6 is ready for release. I just installed V5 on a fresh Raspberry Pi Zero W and was wondering if I should use the V6 Beta or wait a bit longer for the finale release.
Thanks

Personaly, I would not recommend hopping to v6 if that Pi is your only Pi-hole instance.
Even when v6 is officially released, I would wait a week for the main glitches/bugs to be ironed out.
I've got a second Pi and VM's to tinker with and review new releases first before I apply it live.
That's a good and appreciated advise.
Yesterday I considered my Pi to be updated to the latest OS and the v6 Pihole but I struggeled to find the right repo (dev, delvelopement, developedment -v6, ...).
As the 5.x version works well I decided to wait a few weeks more. No hurry, no worry
My production Pihole is running on a bare Ubuntu with unbound and Wireguard installed. This Raspberry Pi is a backup. The reason I ask was because a few weeks ago, one of the Mod developer posted that V6 is close to release. Either way I will be using the Raspberry as a backup and beta test.
Thanks
Then yeah why not.
It feels mature and stable enough to me.
I have it running for close to a year now with three clients manually set to use it.
It only glitched once for me which was resolved very quickly by the devs.
Important: Take a backup of your v5 settings and go
