I am on the latest version of Pihole and started noticing lately that my speeds are not the same.
What I mean is, when I would go to speedtest.net I would get over 900 Mbps up/down and the ping would be 2-3.
But now, the ping is 20+ and I barely get 700 mbps. I tried going to fast.com and I get this,
I then changed my DNS server to 1.1.1.1 and everything went back to normal. I haven't made any changes to Pihole, so why would it all of a sudden start doing this?
I stopped using Untangle and set 1.1.1.1 as the Upstream DNS server and I can now access fast.com. Apparently something went wrong with untangle? I don't make changes to Pihole and pretty much leave it alone. Not sure why this happened.
I did test Untangle with
ping -c 4 fast.com
and it came back with results..but I could not access the site from any device on my network that's using Pihole. But now that I am not using Untangle anymore, the site is accessible. Any ideas?
I would like to keep using untangle, but not if it's broken.
