Actual behaviour:
After update to pihole 5.2 en FTL 5.3.1 i get in the query logs "unknown (12)"

Included in the most recent release as indicated in the release notes.
There is a small bug displaying those types as unknown. It will be fixed by this PR

This is a pull request that has not yet been accepted. Only after this has happend it can be included in a next version of pihole.
No bugs are on purpose. The new query type (12) was added in the PR I referenced. The unknown part is the bug, and that will be fixed with the second PR, which will come out in the near future.
Do you know when that is coming out?
We don't have a fixed timeline for the release. When all the parts of the release are ready and the small team of developers has completed final reviews, it will be released. Our standard answer is Soon(TM)

I don't think today's update resolved it. I just updated my pihole 2 hours ago, right before posting the last comment, rebooted the server and it was still giving unknown 12 errors.
No, today's update didn't resolve this. I get still unknown 12 errors.
The PR has not made it into the last release.... It might be included in a future update.
