Unable to resolve host on desktop

Hi guys!

This morning I installed Pi Hole on my Raspberry Pi using the bash command provided on the Pi Hole website. I configured everything as asked and then I set the Raspberry Pi's static IP adress as my primary DNS server on various devices.

Now comes the problem. On my laptop everything works fine. It blocks ads and in the admin dashboard the amount of blocked ads goes up. On my desktop however it only sometimes works. Most of the time, however, I cannot reach websites. Sometimes I am able to get it running and I can surf and browse without any issue but as soon as I restart my rig, everything goes to hell. I can't open up websites anymore, the tracert command does not work anymore, nothing. This is currently the case and I am unable to get it working again. I am at my wit's end. I have zero experience with Linux which doesn't really help.

I've googled and used the search but nothing that I found was helpful or worked. I hope you have any ideas.

Both the laptop and the desktop use Windows 10.
My debug token is: a5asb5fbyc

Cheers

Your logs shows that Pi-hole is working, so it's probably an issue on your desktop. Did you set both Pi-hole's IPv4 and IPv6 addresses in your DNS settings?

Hi Mcat,

thanks for your answer. I ultimately decided to go the nuclear route and reinstalled everything from scratch. This time I used the latest Raspbian version (September 2016 if I recall correctly) and installed Pi Hole on it. Previously I had the Pi setup with NOOBs and that was done months ago. After doing that it worked immediately without any problems. So far it is running fine.
