Unable to complete update - getVal: command not found

I am having issues updating Pi-hole to the latest.

Expected Behaviour:

Running pihole -up should complete and update Pi-hole with no issues.
Running on Dietpi x86.

Actual Behaviour:

Pi-hole update stops with the following error messages:

[i] Performing unattended setup, no dialogs will be displayed
/etc/.pihole/automated install/basic-install.sh: line 2616: getVal: command not found
