Traffic from access point?

I am experiencing some strange behavior from my pi-hole recently.
I am seeing a lot of DNS request coming from my wireless access point (OpenWrt). Looking at the traffic I am very sure that it is actually coming from my iPhone, still in the dashboard the IP of my WAP is shown as client IP.
Any idea what might cause this?

I'm guessing this could happen if your iPhone and other WiFi devices are told to use the WAP for DNS and the WAP uses Pi-hole for DNS. The iPhone DNS request would not be passed to Pi-hole directly.

Thanks guys, I checked and saw that I had specified DNS forwarding in my WAP to pi-hole. I removed that and hope this solves the issue.
