Timeout - no response from (which?) upstream DNS server

The issue I am facing:
I found some messages by docker logs -t pihole while starting pihole and I don't understand them in detail or which "upstream DNS server" (a single one? which one? or all of them?) timed out:

This didn't help or helped me to answer my questions:

Details about my system:

  • Docker Tag 2025.02.1
  • Core v6.0
  • FTL v6.0
  • Web interface v6.0

Docker is running on an Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS at Hetzner with a very reliable network connectivity.

What I have changed since installing Pi-hole:

Pi-hole has been migrated from latest V5 to current V6.

Please upload a debug log and post just the token URL that is generated after the log is uploaded by running the following command from the Pi-hole host terminal:

pihole -d

Yes.
It doesn't seem to have any issues in your log.

If you think the log messages above should be changed/adjusted, please feel free to make a Feature Request.

did you resolve these errors? i'm getting the same on the new version of pihole..

Correction.. I pulled a new docker image.. and error seems to have gone away.. I'll report back if it surfaces.

I also get these messages, they come exactly every hour (e.g. at 6:00)
I think they are trying to resolve the PTR of the DNS servers, but I'm not sure.
Could it be the same for you?

turned on more of the DNS options within the pihole, that seemed to work for a while but worked up today and the docker was in a constant loop...
