Testing pi-hole/unbound

I've set up pi-hole and unbound in recursive mode and everything is working. I thought a DNS leak test might show that I'm using a local DNS resolver but it doesn't. Is there a similar test, either web based or CLI (on linux) which I can test it with? I'm pretty sure that my local setup is used but it would be good if I could verify.

Alternatively is there a dashboard or way to monitor how many unbound queries are resolved locally and how many go out to query the root and authoritive servers?

What does your DNS leak test show?

On a side note:

If you did configure unbound following our guide, your unbound would work as a recursive resolver, i.e. every request would go to a respective authoritative server, including root servers.

It shows my ISP DNS or my VPN DNS if I'm connected so not as leaks but I wa surprised it saw any requests. I thought it might show no DNS requests detected
