Static IP with Mesh Set-up

Have a mesh set-up (3 unit network)
Smartphone only app (Tenda Nova MW6) with limited configuring options.

I'm unable to make any changes to DHCP. Can't view any of the DHCP settings, let alone edit them.

Trying to point the Nova to Pi Hole using the "Static IP Address" option
Entered into the IP Address field: 192.168.5.241 but in order to accept the IP address it also requires a:
Subnet Mask
Default Gateway
Primary DNS Server
Secondary DNS Server

This is where I'm stuck. All fields need a value in order for the settings to be saved.

It has a bridge option too but says no configuration is needed just like DHCP.

Thoughts? TIA

I have an unmanaged switch on hand (not currently being used) if that's a better way to go with a mesh system.

I'm a bit unclear what you are trying to do. Have you set up the Nova already and is it serving your network? Or are you trying to set it up for the first time to make a home network from the Nova?

Or are those steps completed and you are trying to assign a static IP to the Pi-Hole?

Nova is my current setup. Just bought my 1st RP to load Pi Hole on it. Haven't been able to find any instructions with a mesh setup. Hope that helps...

A mesh setup should be no different that configuring on a non-mesh router. A mesh router is basically a master router and some repeaters to form the mesh.

Is this step where you are trying to set the static IP for the Pi-Hole?

From any network connected device, you can look at its network configuration (how depends on the device), and this will give you the subnet mask and the default gateway (the values depend how you have your router set up).

The primary DNS server is the IP of the Pi-Hole, and the secondary should be blank. If it absolutely requires a secondary DNS server, put the Pi-Hole IP in this space as well.

For example, on my Mac, this is the network information displayed - it has IP address 135 in the indicated range, the router is at address 1, etc.

Is this step where you are trying to set the static IP for the Pi-Hole? Yes .

All fields need to be populated in order to switch from DHCP to Static IP on my mesh system. I have no option to edit the DHCP settings. If I enter the Pi Hole as the connection I'm assuming it should work.

It looks like that setting will only affect the Pi-hole device. Is there any setting that will affect all clients?

It looks like you are on the settings page for connecting your mesh router to the internet, not the screen for assigning IP's to your internal network. Most internet providers connect you via DHCP, and that would auto-populate this if the "Connection Type" were switched to DHCP. Given that you are on the internet, that appears to be already set up.

Settings for your local network should be titled "network" or something similar - on a different screen.
