I have set up PiHole to use google DNS on a laptop. I came home to day to see 90K queries from foreign IP addresses. Can some shed some light on this event?
I think the issue is solved.
I left my pihole in a DMZ for 2 weeks. Someone must have found it.
eftps.gov is a frequent recipient of DNS amplification attacks. Glad you found and secured the open resolver, they are a problem for all of the Internet.
