SSH Default User/Password

Hello All,

I just installed my Pi-Hole Appliance and set it to be used as my Router's (DHCP Host) DNS server. All that is working fine, but now I want to use it as my Naming Server as well and I'm having issues getting logged into the appliance thru SSH.
Does anybody know what the default UID/PW is or know a way to reset it?

Any SSH login details are going to be separate from Pi-hole... What hardware/OS are you set up on?

Good Morning,
That makes sense.
I’m running on a CentOS VM within esxi 6.5. Esxi is sitting on a super micro server.

Supermicro SYS-E300-8D Intel Xeon D-1518, Dual 10G SFP+, 6 GbE LAN, IPMI, Mini Server https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M0VTV3E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_VdE9zb261GEPR

I've a potentially very silly question...

How did you install Pi-hole without being in the SSH console in the first place?

Well I feel a bit sheepish... I was thinking it would be a password specific to pihole, not the root password for the Linux vm.
Sorry about that. I’m in now and will start playing around with dns entries

Don't worry! We all have daft moments.
