Spot.im blocked

Standard install on a raspberry pi, newest version and standard adlist (stevenblack). Just installed today for the first time. Everything seems to work perfectly, BUT soon one family member complained that the foxnews.com and engadget.com comments section did not load. A quick inspection revealed that the spot.im domain was blocked. When I whitelisted it, everything was OK.
It seems the fault is with the adlist and not Pi-hole itself. Just curious if there is a reason spot.im is blocked.

Maybe ads are served from this domain?

That domain is not contained on the default blocklist:

pihole -q spot.im
 Match found in https://raw.githubusercontent.com/StevenBlack/hosts/master/hosts:
   ak-events-collector.spot.im
   events-collector.spot.im
   metrics-logger.spot.im
   api-2-0.spot.im
   traffic.spot.im
   direct-events-collector.spot.im
   pix.spot.im

It is contained in several other lists, likely because it is used for tracking.
