I did and it says to diasable DNS over https for firefox
no client uses Firefox here, so that is another link from apple

it dosn't bypass pihole at all
My apologies for the incorrect link. The correct one is here:
By default, we block the two domains specified by Apple to keep Private Relay from activating on your network. If you want to not have this happen, then set the following parameter:
BLOCK_ICLOUD_PR=false
in file /etc/pihole/pihole-FTL.conf
then restart FTL with
pihole restartdns
Note that if you then enable Private Relay on your Apple devices, traffic from the Safari browser will bypass Pi-hole.
