Setting DNS to Pi-Hole Kills the Internet

This client is not using P-Hole for DNS, it is using Google.

But if I'm setting the DNS at the router level shouldn't that overwrite any local setting? I changed the network adapter settings from automatic to specify the Pi-Hole and get this result now:

Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.18362.657]
(c) 2019 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

C:\Users\mcnau>nslookup pi.hole
Server: raspberrypi
Address: 192.168.68.112

Name: pi.hole
Address: 192.168.68.112

A test on cnn.com shows that most paid content is now blocked. There are three small text paid content links on the right side of cnn.com

No. Local settings override router settings.

This client and adapter are now using Pi-Hole. The paid content links are from the cnn domain and won't be blocked.
