Had similar issues and updated to 5.15.5 but now I am greeting by a 403 error in the browser. Bright side lighttp is up and running

That's expected. The release notes for v5.15 explain it but you need to use the full ip/admin URL if you don't use pi.hole.

I know but I love you the most. The rest of the team will have to deal with it.
Its 100% working after applying the second update so hopefully other people realize to update twice if they updated during the moments it was broken.

I was so fixed on the other issue that I didnt even check the proper URL ... me feel stupid

You need to add /admin.
Are you accessing the web interface using http://IPaddress/admin or http://pi.hole/admin?
