Recently upgraded to PiHole v5 on Raspberry Pi3 facing random freeze / lock ups

Hello,

Now running Pihole V5 on Raspberry Pi 3 Model B on 32GB Sandisk uSD card with Raspbian Buster as the OS.

Have a 3.5 LCD 3.5" TFT Lcd Resistive Touch enclosed in a plastic casing.

Running PHAD to keep showing the PiHole statistics.

The issue I am facing:

So everything was working fine on my last PiHole V4.4 and i have never had the reason to reboot due to a non-responsive system.

Two days ago I did upgrade via the standard command line to Pihole V5 and since then have seen at least 2-3 times the system just stops responding and goes in a freeze and non-responsive state. There is no ping response in this hang up state , hence all devices on home network start failing for any new internet queries.

Details about my system:

This screenshot can better summarize all what I am running on the raspberry Pi

What I have changed since installing Pi-hole:

Since the Raspberry Pi was underutilized by only running PIHole 4.4 , when I upgraded to V5 , i did also install the below

  1. Node-Red
  2. Docker (and some containers in Running state like Portainer, Grafana, InfluxDB , PingMonitor).

So based on the given information, can there be a definitive way to know what exactly is causing random freeze ups/ hang state of PiHole and no response on the ping command.

Thanks for your response.

Please post the token generated by

pihole -d

or do it through the Web interface:

Tools > Generate Debug Log

Is Pi-hole running in Docker or directly on the Pi?

PiHole is running on the PI iteself, outside the docker.

Debug log token is 3cy3ok13dm

Thanks

I would take a close look at the memory usage since you have other things running on it.

Sure will be waiting for the response.

Edit:
Meanwhile have tried changing the power supply to a CanaKit official rated one. Even though the old one was pretty reliable as well which came as original in the Kano Rpi3 Box.

Also have tried changing the 32G SD card as well, from an old Lexar to a new Samsung, by taking and writing image via Win32ImageWriter.

Just making sure that any random locks ups are not happening due to any power or corrupted card issue. A random freeze happened today has well, however will now keep on monitoring after applying the above remedies.

Thanks.

Hello , were there any findings from going thru the logs.

Thanks for your time and reply.
