As the title says I have recently installed pi-hole on my Ubuntu machine. The install goes well however, when attempting to access the admin web page I am always prompted with the ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED error. I have checked a good amount of the posts on this issue but none of them seem to work/
Try using the complete URL in the browser. Does that work?
http://192.168.1.235/admin/login.php
Note that your log doesn't show a DHCP server on your network – make sure the machine you're trying from has an IP address. Also worth trying the same full URL from other machines, phone, etc, if you can.
I just tried the URL you sent, and it works perfectly fine but I have noticed on my phone I type as it tells you when first set up Pi-hole it works fine. Must be an issue with my PC but it shouldn't matter anymore as this helped!
If you're using the IP address you have to include the /admin part. Or you can instead use pi.hole and that should redirect automatically. In either case, depending on your browser settings, you might have to explicitly state http:// in front too.
yeah its very odd on my phone im able to type it as pi hole tell you type it mind you this I on chrome but on PC chrome I have to type it as http://192.168.1.235/admin/ for it to resolve to the panel and on edge its the same this as mobile chrome even on safari its the same its just chrome on my PC that does that. Its quite the weird thing but not really an issue now that I know I can log into it!
