I set up my Raspberry Pi 3 (running Raspbian) several days ago and have since screwed up my router. The Pi 3 is hardwired into my router. I had to reset it because I could not get an IP on any device (long story, my fault). Anyway, the current setup is:
- Gateway is 192.168.1.1
- Raspberry Pi 3 is assigned by the MAC address to be 192.168.1.2, but it is assigning to 192.168.1.16 which is the original IP I assigned it to pre-router reset (see the pictures below)
- All other devices are assigned to begin at 192.168.1.30-100 and are assigning properly
All other devices are assigned properly, meaning they are above 192.168.1.30. I have assigned the IP address in my router for the Raspberry Pi to be assigned to .2, see here: Imgur: The magic of the Internet. I never assigned it anywhere in the Pi box to be 192.168.16, I only do assignment on the router level. The only place that I can think of is when I set up Pi-Hole and it asked me what IP I wanted to operate on, I chose 192.168.1.16. I did not set it anywhere in the Pi settings. And you know it is the Pi box because I reset the router, changed all IP assignments to be above 192.168.1.30 and the Pi box is still assigning to 192.168.1.16.
Anyway, I am a Linux noob and I am stuck. I can flash and redo everything but my friend urged me post here.
The router is a Nighthawk R6400.
