Pihole -up fails on stream

Expected Behaviour:

pihole -up works

Actual Behaviour:

Run pihole -up and it shows the pretty berry, then:

Unable to complete update, please contact Pi-hole Support

This is on a CentOS Stream 8 server, so I'm guessing it's a compatibility issue (it was normal CentOS 8 before). If I can help troubleshoot at all, let me know.
