This is for anyone else that still has a *plug or two around, and would like to try running Pi-hole on it. Pogoplug/GoFlexHome/SeagateNAS users can download a binary for pihole-FTL
here : Pi-hole FTL Binaries for ARMV5TE - Unofficial/Unsupported Release page.
This is free, but comes w/ no guarantee of function or support. The Doozan Kirkwood/Debian site may be able to offer some general support for hardware, uboot and Debian in general.
Due to some serious health concerns, I can not offer anything except the download of the binaries. I'll give what I can - thank you for not asking for more.
As time and energy permit, I will try to add in some details in the wiki about:
- running Pi-hole nicely on just 128MB RAM
- the autobuilder script that compiles and uploads the binaries
- probably not much else... I want to keep it minimal
@Developers @webdevelopers , please PM me if you see something that is a problem or is going to create more load on you all... I specifically state that it is just the basics here and that users probably should continue to try to get a bit of help on the Community Help subforum, but that you all are busy enough already. Also, it should be clear to anyone running older hardware that the user must do a lot of their own heavy lifting.
In other words, @Developers @webdevelopers, I want to be respectful to the community and not detract from what you all have built.
TIA,
Dave
