Pihole dns..ip cant find - newbie

hi guys, im newbie to linux and raspberry zero w. i menaged to set up everything so far, pi hole aswell - most of the time i didnt change any settings so everything is defoult i guess. pi hole is working online ive also put list of blocked domains and ive done update of gravity as well.

so guys please could you explain to me know does it work, where i could find a dns or ip that i should put at my phone or laptop settings so i wont got any ads. thank you

You need to enter Pi-hole`s IP in as your phone's or laptop's DNS server. Do you know the IP of your PI-hole device? Did you set a static IP on the device or a DHCP reservation on your router?

thanks for fast replay, no dont have done that as im living in a shared house so i cant change router settings. I didnt change anything at all. my ip of pihole is just random like 192.168.1.88 so i just put that as dns ? thanks
sorry im new in that so havent a clue. but im trying to learn.

It's Ok if it is random, but it needs to be fixed

If you don't have access to the router you can set a static IP on the device itself. Which OS are you running?

linux ubuntu just started two weeks ago.

Ive checked your link that you post for me here... but i think i wont be able to do it that. i will have to find somewhere step by step. or if u know maybe some web site where i can find full guidance about setting ip for pihole. thank you

Please generate a debug log, upload it when prompted and post the token here. We can look at your details and help you set a static IP.

Pi-hole's IP is 192.168.87.20

Side note: you put domains in the adlist table. Everything blow greater than #69 is not an adlist URL but a domain. It won't have any effect in this table.
Anyhow, blocking youtube ads (I guess this is what you tried to do) with Pi-hole won't work without breaking youtube videos also. Search the forum for a lot of failed attempts to block youtube ads.
