Expected Behaviour:
pihole -up should not break my installation
pihole commands should output anything
Actual Behaviour:
pihole commands do not output anything
no dns or web portal
attempting to rerun the install commands fails due to existing install
Debug Token:
I am unable to run the debug script
I got things working again by manually removing the directories that contained the git repos it was failing to update, and rerunning the installation.
I reran the debugger after it completed, maybe someone can tell me what went wrong.

This log doesn't show issues, but the debug log was written to show details about Pi-hole operation, not about Pi-hole installation, so no information about failed installations will be there.
Your screenshots also don't show error messages, so probably it will be impossible to know what happened.
I didn't see any other results when searching for a solution, so at the very least I wanted to post this for documentation purposes
Exactly... this doesn't seem to be a Pi-hole issue.
This was probably an issue in your local installation. Probably a temporary issue.
Please feel free to post if you find some more information.
Recovering from a failed install might be beneficial to document, but what do I know.
I had the same error. Then I realized during the install/setup I left it set to ethernet, but I was only using wifi on the pi. Reran the install/setup, selected wifi, and got past this error.
