Pi-hole, Virgin Media Hub and Archer A7 Router

My network comprises of a Virgin Media Hub 3 which acts as a modem and passes the Wi Fi signel through to Archer A7 router via an ethernet cable.

The question I have is:

In the network I have is it possible to set the Pi-hole up with an ethernet cable connection to the Virgin router and then just disable the DHPC on the Archer A7.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.
