Just upgraded 2 piHoles to V6 - using round robin between the two
After upgrade - the GUI is VERY slow (2 min) to load. Once it loads, I see queries come in rapidly for about 2-5 minutes and the GUI will refresh very fast. Then I see a spinner on refresh and all my clients time or say "temporary name service failure" - after GUI reloads, all is fine again for about 2-5 minute; then the whole cycle repeats

i had the same issue, everything took visible pauses before things loaded it was sometimes not load at all until i refreshed it. i disabled port 443 and just set it use port 80 and BOOM now its all snappy and super fast... although i would like to HTTPS mine but that's another issue i will come back to later

Update - I "solved" this by doing
pihole uninstall
and then a fresh install
Hi folks. I can confirm the solution by n7qnm. I´ve done a backup of all my settings, did a pihole uninstall and a fresh install. After restoring my settigns-backup, everythig was smooth and fast again.
Right after the update to v6 it was very slow and unreliable. One of two cores was constantly at 100%. Now the performance problems are totally gone.
