pi-hole update broke web server

Background

I had recently updated my pihole installation to the latest version as it was outdated, and it mentioned uninstalling a deprecated web server. I had agreed to that and let it install. I then ran the classic sudo apt update after.

Expected Behaviour:

The pihole web server would show, and I would be able to log in on 192.168.1.246/admin

Actual Behaviour:

The pihole web server does not show, and is instead replaced with a 192.168.1.246 refused to connect error (ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED)
