I am using Pi-Hole on my Local Network. I set it as my DNS Server on my PC and Phone.
Expected Behaviour:
Ads and entered domains should be blocked
Actual Behaviour:
Despite having set Pi-Hole as the DNS Server, none of my requests are properly being blocked.
I can still access the domains in my blocklists.
Debug Token:
iE8tei76
https://tricorder.pi-hole.net/iE8tei76/
Did i forget something? How do my devices bypass the pi-hole's blocklist?
Let's check what is happening.
From your PC, run these commands and post the output here:
nslookup flurry.com
nslookup flurry.com 192.168.178.38
Looks like this to me..
PS C:\Users\florian> nslookup flurry.com
Server: fritz.box
Address: fd00::4a5d:35ff:fef6:411e
Nicht autorisierende Antwort:
Name: flurry.com
Addresses: 13.248.158.7

PS C:\Users\florian> nslookup flurry.com 192.168.178.38
Server: pi.hole
Address: 192.168.178.38
Name: flurry.com
Addresses: ::
0.0.0.0
I think I might have solved it:
Configured my router to use the Pi's IP not only for IPV4 but for IPV6 as well. Seems to be working now.
I think the Pihole was bypassed before.
Thanks you for your help!
