Pi Hole is listening to port 53

The issue I am facing:
I want to install nextcloud on my raspberry pi running along side pihole. Unfortunately the nextcloud installation fails since the port 53 is used by pihole. Currently I am using an adguard dns resolver with pihole. I don't know whether pihole needs listening to port 53. In my former old installation I was able to run both in parallel but pihole operated with unbound there. Is it possible to prevent pihole from listening to port 53 in my current configuration? Unfortunately I can't install unbound due to other problems of the setup script.

Details about my system:
Bookworm 64 bit, pihole, nextcloud

Curious, why does nextcloud need port 53? I can see references or http / https ports but not dns. Also, unless mistaken, pihole and adgaurd perform similiar functions. Why not just run one or the other?

Yes, Pi-hole needs to listen on port 53. That is the port used for DNS requests. If you are running Adguard on the same machine, then port 53 is already used by it.

You cannot run both on the same machine, both are DNS resolver.
