Pi-hole has become very difficult to use recently

The issue I am facing:
Yes, I messed up a few weeks ago.
Edited a file I shouldn't have.
I've put my hand up.

I got that problem FIXED but it is not much better now.

PiHole is running, I can log into it and looking at the logs IT is parsing DNS requests.

Details about my system:
RasPi 2 Model B rev 1.1
PiHole.... CORE 6.1.2 FTL 6.2.3 Web interface 6.2.1 from the bottom of the screen

What I have changed since installing Pi-hole:
Originally it was working. As said before I stuffed up and did something I shouldn't have done.

Now, PiHole is running but it is NOT blocking sites.

Ok, to clarify:
The PING is being blocked.
But the browser isn't.

Well, it seems I am more stupid than I thought.

With the new install - and I am sure with the one I had before the uninstall and reinstall the list was wiped from what I had.

Now I realise what to do, I believe it is now working.
