Pi-hole excessive load

The issue I am facing:
For a few hours I have noticed an extreme slowdown of my main dns. I have problems connecting new devices to the network because the dhcp server of this pi-hole is not responding.
The problem seems to be in the pihole-FTL module which is using all the CPU power.

What I have changed since installing Pi-hole:

None.

My debug log

disabling the dhcp server seems to solve the problem.
