The following IP address shows up on my Permitted domains 52.0.168.192.in-addr.arpa - I have over 1.4million hits to that IP. If i run a whois this points to Amazon. I have no idea what on my PC would be talking to that IP address
This is a reverse IP lookup (PTR request), not a query to an external domain. With a PTR request, the IP is listed in reverse. The request you are seeing is “what is the name of the device in the LAN at IP address 192.168.0.52”
You have conditional forwarding enabled, which can result in loop traffic and large numbers of PTR requests. Disable conditional forwarding and see if the number of queries drops.
