This page has been permanently removed. Hosting the page puts Pi-Hole in the position of hosting ads.

Could create a sub domain with minimal web page and put that one default in the blocklist for testing in a browser ?

test.blocking.pi-hole.net

I prefer just to do some nslookup / host / dig tests instead of testing with a browser and get derailed because of all the cache at many levels.

nslookup pi.hole <DNS_SERVER>

Just check doubleclick.net. There's no reason on Earth for anyone to not have that blocked.

Edit: But on a more serious note, an A / AAAA record for something like blocking.pi-hole.net is not a bad idea. There already are a couple of records (test-a.pi-hole.net A record and test-cname.pi-hole.net CNAME record, we can add an AAAA record as well.)
