original Raspberry Pi B+ with pihole works for hours, days or a couple weeks before being unable to resolve URLs and needing to reboot

Pi-Hole locks up, no longer reachable

Hello to the great developer team, I am a happy user of Pi-Hole, having it set up a few weeks ago. Starting after about two weeks, Pi-Hole suddenly becomes unresponsive. DNS resolution is no longer possible and Pi-Hole becomes unreachable via the internal private IP. Other internal private IPs stay reachable. This happens some 2 -3 times a day.
